Common questions
What is a diverse backup link?
A second circuit that follows a physically different path, often from a different carrier, so a cable break or carrier fault cannot take both down. Two circuits in the same duct provide far less protection than most people assume.
Why does internet breakout matter for cloud?
Backhauling cloud traffic to a central site before it reaches the internet adds latency to every request. Local breakout sends it out at the site, which is usually the single biggest improvement to cloud performance at branches.
