Cloud Infrastructure

Scout Outsource provides managed cloud infrastructure for medium to enterprise businesses, covering hosting, migration, 24/7 monitoring, encryption and capacity scaling across public, private and hybrid cloud.

Cloud only saves money when it is sized to the workload. We design the platform around what your applications actually need, migrate in planned phases rather than a single cutover, then run it, with monitoring, patching, scaling and cost control included.

What’s included

Platform design and migration
Workload assessment, target architecture and phased migration with rollback points at each stage.
24/7 monitoring
Proactive monitoring and alerting so capacity and performance issues surface before users report them.
Security and encryption
Encryption in transit and at rest, access control, and hardening against the misconfigurations that cause most cloud breaches.
Cost optimisation
Right-sizing, reserved capacity planning and removal of orphaned resources, usually the quickest saving available.
Scaling and resilience
Elastic capacity for demand peaks, with redundancy designed to the recovery objectives the business actually needs.

Who this is for

Businesses migrating from on-premise, organisations whose cloud bill has grown faster than their usage, and teams without the capacity to run a platform around the clock.

Common questions

Is cloud cheaper than on-premise?

Only if it is sized correctly. Lifted-and-shifted workloads running at on-premise specifications are usually more expensive in cloud. The saving comes from right-sizing, scaling down out of hours and removing idle resources.

Can you migrate us without downtime?

In most cases yes, by migrating in phases with replication and a tested cutover rather than a single big-bang move. We confirm what is achievable during the assessment.

Do you support hybrid cloud?

Yes. Most of our clients run hybrid. Some workloads stay on-premise or in colocation for latency, compliance or licensing reasons, and we design for that rather than against it.
